I’m Linda and I love travelling (need to put that on a badge!).

It wasn’t until my 30s that I took my first DIY overseas trip – and I was hooked. Since then, I have travelled to more than 30 countries – on my own, with family or friends.

Leaving travel until later has meant I’m able to do it reasonably comfortably. However, because I want to go to so many places, I keep my eye firmly on the bottom line and am always looking for a great deal or ways to maximise my travel dollar.

As a rule, I prefer to stay in 4-star accommodation (I’ll take 5-star if the deal is right!). But that said, I’ve even stayed in 4-star hostels – private accommodation though.

Some cities and countries have entranced me so much, I’ve returned over and over and Singapore is one of them. It took me by surprise because, initially, I had zero interest, thinking of it as somewhere to just transit through to get somewhere else.

However, after my first stopover, I was hooked. Since then I’ve been back many times – each visit, exploring deeper and wider.

Am I an expert? Have I seen everything there is to see? No way! But I’m working on it!

And for every trip I’ve taken, I’ve done a huge amount of research that I’d like to share with you so you, too, can plan an amazing trip to Singapore.
