If you’re planning to spend most of your time exploring the theme parks on Sentosa then it makes good sense to base yourself there. When it comes to Singapore accommodation, there are a stack of best hotels in Sentosa Island.

Although it’s quite a small island, it packs a punch with a stack of activities and experiences on top of the theme parks. While the hotels on Sentosa Island Singapore are not cheap, I suggest you sign up to all of the loyalty programs and book early to nab yourself a better price.

Check out my comprehensive guide to Sentosa, which has the lowdown on the huge number of activities you can do there as well as some tips on how to maximise your money while you’re there.

The Barracks Hotel

Once a British artillery outpost, the Barracks Hotel has been painstakingly restored so that it retains an air of time gone by and is considered the best hotel on Sentosa Island by many. Guests are even provided with a free 45-minute heritage tour, which runs daily at 10am and 4pm, focusing on the history of property.

The décor is decidedly old world with leather sofas, exposed brick, and a host of travel relics such as old typewriters and steamer trunks.

The hotel, owned by Far East Hospitality, is within walking distance of two sister properties, The Outpost and The Village, which provides guests with a host of dining options.

There are two wings separated by The Living Room, the club lounge open to all guests. Each wing has its own swimming pool, designed mostly for lap swimming. Some first-floor rooms open out to the pool and even have semi-private jacuzzis. There is no gym but guests have access to the ones at the Village/Outpost hotels.

Cocktails and canapes are provided in the Living Room during Happy Hour, which runs from 6-8pm each day along with other snacks and drinks throughout the day.

The 40 rooms at The Barracks Hotel are either premier rooms or suites. The 34 premier rooms are 29sqm with both king and twin bed options on the first or second floors while the 6 suites, at 59sqm, are all on the first floor.

The hotel is within walking distance of Universal Studios and the Imbiah Sentosa Express station.

The resort has 140 rooms, suites and villas, just 8 minutes from Universal Studios. There’s also a complimentary shuttle bus service to and from HarbourFront.

This is just a small selection of the best hotels in Sentosa Island but I hope it’s helped you to decide where to stay. There are so many things to do on Sentosa – both paid and free – that you’ll never have a dull moment. While most of the accommodation on Sentosa is expensive, you might be able to find a good deal if you book early enough and sign up to hotel loyalty programs.
