This 1km street in Singapore is home to most – if not all – of the designer stores you could want to find as well as souvenirs, bargain buys and department stores. If you plan to shop until you drop, you’ll be looking for the best hotels near Orchard Road Singapore!

There’s a range of accommodation near Orchard Road – from mid-range to luxury – as well as extensive food and entertainment options. While there aren’t very many budget options, you’ll find plenty in nearby Chinatown and Bencoolen/Bugis, which are easily accessible via the MRT. The Yotel on Orchard could be considered on the budget side depending on when you book. There are often great deals on their website.

Luxury

Four Seasons Hotel Singapore

The Four Seasons brand is synonymous with five-star accommodation and this property would have to be one of the best hotels on Orchard Road. While it’s only a short walk to the hustle and bustle of Orchard Rd, the hotel itself is in a tree-lined street that emanates peach and tranquillity.

The Asian brasserie One-Ninety provides a European breakfast with an Asian twist as well as international cuisine. If you’re looking for a fine dining Cantonese experience, look no further than the Michelin-starred Jiang-Nan Chun.

There’s a Club floor on level 3 where guests can play tennis on the indoor/outdoor courts, use the gym or have spa treatments. Close by is an outdoor lap pool for guests over 12 years. There’s a family pool on the rooftop.

The rooms have high ceilings and bay windows as well as free wifi and a portable Bose Bluetooth speaker. They range in size from a rather luxurious 49sqm for a basic deluxe room to a jaw-dropping 155sqm for an entry-level suite complete with lounge area, dining room and a kitchenette. The bathrooms have both a separate bathtub and shower, a bidet and bathrobes.

The hotel is a 7-minute walk from Orchard MRT station and malls such as the Wheelock Place and Forum Galleria. It’s connected to the Hilton Singapore via an air-conditioned walkway.

One of the best hotels near Orchard Road Singapore is the Marriott Tang Plaza
Marriott Tang Plaza … 5-star service in the middle of Orchard Rd

Marriott Tang Plaza

This hotel is being refurbished and is expected to open soon so not sure how much will change, however, I think you can be guaranteed the 5-star accommodation and service won’t change.

Right in the heart of the action on Orchard Rd – and opposite the architectural (and shopping) masterpiece that is the ION Orchard mall – the 30-storey property would have to be one of the best hotels on Orchard Road and is hard to miss with its octagonal, green-tiled pagoda roof.

There’s a spa, a swimming pool, gym and half-size basketball court to keep you busy – when you’re not powering through the shopping malls on Orchard Rd, that is.

Dining options include the Michelin-starred Singapore offshoot of Ginza Sushi Ichi and the Cantonese Wan Hao as well as Marriott Café, which serves an international buffet breakfast. There’s a Prohibition-style bar, The Other Room, in the lobby that whips up some pretty impressive cocktails.

For evening drinks, don’t miss The Other Room, a Prohibition-style bar with an unmarked entrance by the lobby that serves spirits finished in-house, available as tasting flights or as a base in cocktails like the smoke-finished Reversed Gin & Tonic. If you visit from 6pm to 8.30pm from Sundays to Thursdays, your beverage will be served with a complimentary plate of nduja toast.

The 392-room hotel has 10 categories from deluxe (36sqm on the 5th to 14th storeys) to suites. The Junior Suite has separate living and sleeping spaces, and the Pool Terrace room has direct access to the swimming pool. These are the only rooms that come with bathtubs. Executive rooms have access to the executive Lounge on the 27th floor for complimentary continental breakfast and evening cocktails.

The hotel less than 5 minutes’ walk through an underground walkway to Orchard Rd MRT.

The Quincy Hotel

There are many perks when you check in to this hotel: an LED-illuminated cantilevered pool, gym, steam and sauna room, an all-inclusive tariff that includes breakfast, evening cocktails and canapes, refreshments during the day, free minibar snacks and a limited laundry service.

And if that’s not enough, you can get free entry to the trendy nightclub, Zouk, if you’re one of the first 50 hotel guests to present your keycard on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday nights.

Choose from two room categories – studio and studio deluxe – that have stone feature walls. The studios are 26sqm and the studio deluxe 32sqm. On the ground floor, The Lobby provides a continental buffet breakfast, gourmet sandwiches for lunch and a buffet dinner that features fried rice, pastas and cheeses. Guests can also get soft-serve ice cream noon to 8.30pm each day.

Mid-range

Jen Singapore Orchard Gateway

This would have to be one of the best hotels on Orchard Road Singapore particularly if you’re looking for a hip property with some cool features like a rooftop infinity pool with cabanas and panoramic city views.

Makan@Jen offers a wide selection of both local and international dishes or guests can grab and go from the OnTheGo deli. There’s also 24-hour room service delivered by robot Jeno. Drinks are available at two locations – Lounge@Jen or BayWatch@Jen if you’d like that drink with a side of view.

The entry-level superior cityview rooms are 27sqm and accommodate 2 adults while the club rooms are 32sqm, can accommodate 3 adults and provide access to the Club Lounge for breakfast and all-day snacks.

Yotel Singapore

I like the YOTEL concept of “taking the essential elements of luxury hotels into a compact, but smart space” and always spend my last night in Singapore at the YotelAir at Changi. While the key word for this hotel near Orchard Road Singapore is compact, there’s still a pool and gym on level 10 along with the Komyuniti dining outlet where meals are served.

Although the rooms are small – just 14sqm – they’re incredibly functional. The TV is directly in front of the bed (with little to no room in between), which can be positioned according to whether you’re sleeping, watching TV or perhaps working on your laptop. The toilet and shower space is separate from the main bedroom by a frosted door. It’s very compact but definitely workable even for two people.

The hotel is next door to the Isetan Scotts/Shaw Centre on Orchard Rd and a 5-minute walk to Orchard MRT.

Budget

It’s difficult to find good budget hotel near Orchard Road Singapore but check out the Chinatown and Bugis listings to see what’s available as Orchard Rd is easy to get to from these neighbourhoods. If you get in early, there are often great deals at the Yotel.
